Hi again Just a couple of things we would like your feedback - TopicsExpress

Hi again Just a couple of things we would like your feedback and opinions on if possible please! We did start doing a newsletter over the Summer but wanted to check with people whether this was interesting/useful or whether it was just repeating things you already knew about from emails, Facebook and we will also have a website up and running hopefully by the end of this week! Please let us know if you would like a regular newsletter or not! Also, we are really pleased to let you know that the NHS trusts in Leeds (Community Healthcare and the Teaching Hospitals) are working together with the Down Syndrome Association, Louise Bryant from the University of Leeds and Sunshine and Smiles to bring the Tell it Right, Start it Right training day (run by the DSA) here to Leeds in 2014 – please see the link for further information about the training day – I think it is something lots of people will be very pleased to see happening :-) downs-syndrome.org.uk/support-services/training/bespoke-training/health/tell-it-right-start-it-right.html The current list of health professionals and practitioners who would be invited to attend are as follows: Midwives - both community and hospital Ultrasonographers Obstreticians Paediatricians - community and neonatalologists Health visitors (audiology scientists involved in the new born hearing screen) open to GPs - if they would like to attend and other professionals if the would like to attend and also possibly staff involved in early years education????? Are there other professionals or practitioners that people would like to see invited to the training? Please do let us know as Dr Puri has asked for our input as to who it is important to be part of this training day – also, there will be a request for families and older young people to be involved in the training day so if people would be interested in that please let us know too!! Many Thanks
