Hi, again, folks. Once again, its that time of year. For those of you I have yet to meet, allow me to introduce myself. My name is James Llorca (I go by only James). I am 50 years old and I currently live in Orlando, Florida. Although I was born in Chicago Heights, my family lived in the Belvidere/Rockford area from 1965 to 1976, due to my fathers employment at Chrysler. Now, if you do the math, I was only 3 at the time the tornado hit our fair town. Unfortunately, I, unlike most of you, have no recollection of that day, but my dad (who passed away last year) did. He told me his story of his eyewitness account in 2007, when I learned of the unveiling of the statue at the high school, as well as the 40th anniversary book (which I have a copy). So I am here for two reasons: 1) To represent my dad; 2) To try and bring some positivity through music (mainly from 1967, but not just that year, if you desire). This will be my third year doing this, and apparently, it has worked, because of all the positive feedback I got the last two years, people have understood my overall purpose....to make people smile, and remember the good instead of the bad. We shall never forget the 24 people we lost that day, especially considering 17 of them were kids. But if my being here every April 21st can put smiles on peoples faces, rather than reflect in sorrow and pain, Ive won half the battle already. I, too, was there. I was just too young to remember. So through the power of music, let me help you cope by means of positivity. If you have any tunes, from 1967, or perhaps another year with a title appropriate to the matter at hand, please let me know. Ill be here after work Monday, so remember, you have a friend here. Thanks for taking the time to read this. God bless. James
