Hi all. As you know Lucas was diagnosed with leukaemia 6 weeks ago and has spent nearly all of it in hospital.he is at home at the moment but we are on stand by to be rush into hospital when any problems occur,which has happened twice already.lucas has lost the use of his legs is also neutropenic (not spelt right but I know what I mean) which means he can pick up viruses at any moment as a result of the luekaemia. He has to have so much treatment and results in so so many trips to the hospital,at times his treatment is every day at the hospital. The biggest problem is Lucas is also not allowed near animals which has caused massive problems. Ozzy has found himself left at home alone for so many hours and has caused him to get stressed.he has started messing in the house which is not his fault but as you can imagine we have to be at the hospital so so much and we have to keep him away from Lucas. With all this in mind I have had to stand up and be strong for my sons health as well as the mental state of Ozzy. I have had to look into rehoming Ozzy for his own sake.not wanting to give him away to any tom dick or Harry I made contact with the Duke Of Wellington Trust in Dorset on Wednesday.they sent a rep out to me on Friday and all the paperwork was done to move Ozzy when a registered family were available.i was told this would take 3/4 months so imagine my horror when just 2hrs later he had been accepted by a reliable family through the Trust.their an older couple with no children and lost their Labrador to old age less than 2yrs ago.theyve been waiting for a middle aged Labrador since and that is fully trained. So with a very heavy heart and hurting Im sorry to say Ozzy has just been collected and is on his way to a little house in the country side.ive been promised photos so Ill post them here when I get them. Please no phone calls ......feel like Ive just lost an arm and really cant talk about it x
