Hi all, Below is some important info regarding the Light the Night Walk on Thursday, October 9th. If you are planning on attending the walk, please read all of this because we are doing some things different this year! We are still going to have the tent outside on the lawn like previous years. This year instead of everyone bringing food, we are going to have it catered by Chipotle. I am not sure of exact pricing yet but it will cost each person around $12. After discussion, we think this is the easiest and will also appeal to everyone since you create your own! IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON ATTENDING AND WANT TO EAT CHIPOTLE- I NEED TO KNOW AN EXACT COUNT BY OCTOBER 1ST!!!! The Chipotle WILL ONLY be for those who tell me by October 1st! As always, we will plan on getting down there between 4 and 5. We will plan on the Chipolte being there at 5.. it will be on sternos so will remain hot! The actual event begins at 5:30 so if possible try to get there by 5 to beat traffic! The presentation inside the tent is usually around 6:30 or 7. So we will all need to be present in the main tent by that point!! This year at the walk in order receive a shirt, food ticket, or lantern, each walker must have $100 under their name before the walk! So, if you want any of these things at the walk, you must have $100 in contributions under your name. Raising $100 is very easy!! Send out letters asking for donations, ask coworkers, ask other family members, send out emails to all of your contacts, or use any other way you can think of to raise some money. PLEASE NOTE- THIS IS DIFFERENT THAN PREVIOUS YEARS!! If you just want to attend and walk with us that is great! The $100 is optional but just note that you will not receive a lantern to walk with. Regardless of the $100, If you are planning to attend YOU MUST REGISTER ASAP!!!!
