Hi all, Could you please keep an eye out for Sweep – Border - TopicsExpress

Hi all, Could you please keep an eye out for Sweep – Border Collie, whom has escaped from here yesterday morning as per link below. $500 reward for his safe return. We are doing everything possible to find Sweep, Council has been notified immediately, and a number of people in our dog network are helping in locating him. Searching for him went well into the night hours of last night, resuming this morning. Sweep does not want to be caught, and is proving extremely difficult to catch, he is moving very fast. We are extremely sorry for this happening for Sweep especially, and his owners. The entirety of our guests realistically have been affected due to his escape, 50% of our staff have been re-tasked to finding him since. Sweep has fought his way out of a slip lead coming back in from a walk on our free run farm which is fully enclosed, and bolted back down (even from his brother Sooty) he has then somehow negotiated our deer fencing on the South Eastern side of our perimeter and managed to get through or over, ending up some distance away towards Lincoln Road. Contrary to the advertisement placed about Sweep on Pets On The Net – Sweep has ‘intentionally escaped’ in contradiction of the term used ‘lost’, the element of him being scared is hugely inaccurate – Sweep is on the run intentionally and knows what he is doing, this however is not good by any means while trying to catch him. We do our best to scan guests coming through given what K9 Heaven is, possibly full disclosure has not been given in this case of his current temperament status. We previously believed this was to seek out Sheep on our neighbouring perimeter that he may have smelt earlier on his farm run, where our main concentration of manpower spent the majority of yesterday morning searching neighbouring farmland. This was unfortunately not been the case. We believe given his last seen location that he has managed to route through hugely built up areas of Triangle Road and off streets, ending up in Daytona Road near Lincoln Road where he has bolted towards Swanson from staff approaching him. ‘Deer Fencing’ is not easy to escape through, Sweep has seriously wanted to get out, and does not intend to be caught, even with his brother present who was with when he was located. Pleadingly & beggingly…. we are constantly helping others find their dogs and the likes on a weekly basis around here, or catching them off the radar because we want too, but we seem to be getting no joy ourselves with this, so we ask ‘please!’ if you have seen him at all – please call Council and notify. Not ‘one’ person has called him in to Council since he ran away!, yet he is in majorly built up urban areas!, Triangle Road, Lincoln Road area. He has been moving fast, ‘surely’ someone out there has seen him. He was last seen near the Concourse as the last known sighting yesterday late afternoon. There is no way nobody has seen him at all yesterday or today. K9 Heaven has put up a $500 cash reward for whoever may have him, or leads us to his capture. Even if handed over to Council thereafter or directly to his owners & brother, please spread the word on this reward it may help to find him given the lack of reporting of his being seen to date. Sweep clearly does not want to be caught, post escape it has been also disclosed to us that he is likely to ‘bite’ anyone that approaches him by his owners in public. So do not, if you are not familiar with dogs at large while they are in their element. Please just call Council, or us so we can close in on him with his owners & brother Sooty. If possible maybe a gate can be closed behind him or what not until we or his owners arrive. We have no idea what has gotten into Sweep, his brother Sooty was not in the same frame of mind, and we can no further really speculate as to why he has bolted from here, and managed to negotiate deer fencing at speed, other than his own intentions. He has escaped a more than secure, purposely built area for dogs. Main thing is, finding him. As you can imagine this is an extremely difficult time for his owners, we just wish to reunite him with them and Sooty. We are doing everything possible to find Sweep, and can only hope someone will be able to entrap him in their yard or driveway so that he can be entrapped. His owners are beside themselves as you can imagine, and we just want to get Sweep home to them. Obviously, being who we are we are more than sure that we will be mince meat in the public eye due to our current circumstance & the name that we bear & have, especially on forums like Stand Up Auckland Dog Owners, facilitated by our competition, mostly influenced by our competition groups always willing to detriment K9 Heaven any given. While some maybe rubbing their hands in glee at K9 Heaven being down & out at the moment as the posts begin to roll, finding Sweep is the main priority and that is where we stand. So even through our competition networks, we ask of you and hope if any of you have seen or know anything that it can be called in, as we would do for you and ‘have done’ in the past for some of you...... The greater good being Sweep reunited with mum & dad as the primary concern at hand. We have not yet actually had a real chance to find him/catch him, he has only been on the run for a short time in the scheme of things. We are doing everything possible, over and beyond what a lot of kennels have/would do in this situation. Past media attention to kennels & incidents such as this as proof, those that know us know we will be doing everything possible given the circumstances. All measures will be taken to reconsider our deer fencing/enclosed areas due to this escape. For now finding Sweep is our priority. This is an extreme escape case and we are doing our best, dogs simply do not get through deer fencing easily, and never have since its construction till now. If you have any info on Sweep please call us or Council to notify of where, and please bear in mind the $500 reward for his safe return to help motivate eyes and ears. Thank you, K9 Heaven.
