Our office is in Takoma Park, Md., first subway stop outside the District. Within two blocks of the Metro. Its very casual; I wear jeans every day. Folks are friendly and good-humored. Its a relaxed atmosphere. Also a dog-friendly building, so you may ride in the elevator with Sophie the shepherd mix some days. Were all pretty excited that were soon moving to a larger office in the building. Nice to be growing. The future looks bright. We have a long-term funder who ensures we are never in the red. Advertising and subscriptions are both growing, and will really take off once we hire two new staffers in that department. Right now our circulation is around 4,000 I believe. Current is extremely popular among its readership. Its really nice to interact with so many enthusiastic readers at conferences. Were really sort of rock stars among NPR and public TV station staffers. Our readers also include funders, independent producers, station board members. Anyway.
