Hi all. Hope your week is going well. I am working on some student materials on cross-cultural communication at work/multicultural work environments. It would be terrific to hear about cultural blunders that have occurred here in Finland, in our context. Stories don´t need to be funny, although funny ones are surely welcomed too. Just examples from the true working life that can help my students to picture how differently we may act or do things. I have examples from abroad, some my own, some from all over the world. Now hoping to find examples from our own country in purpose to make my students to understand that the cross cultural communication does not only occur abroad but is part of today´s working life in Finland too. So, learning about working side by side with different cultures is important even if you are not in the international business. I´d be happy to hear if you have stories to share. Small or big.
