Hi all, I have a scanning question today. I recently paid for developing and scanning and am confused about different sized scans. I paid for an enhanced (better than normal) scan of my 6x6 negatives. 1024x1024 pixels is regular Im told at around 3MB per scan, with enhanced being double that at 2048x2048 pixels, or roughly 12MB per scan. When I received the resulting scans, they were in fact 2048x2048 pixels in size...but 3.5MB file sizes not 12. Is this a screw up of some sort? What would cause the file size to stay low in a case like this? All are at 72DPI. Thanks all!
