Hi all! I hope everyone enjoys the last day of the weekend before it starts all over again on Monday! Some of you who have not been able to watch have been asking for details of what to expect on flurries. Heres what you can expect: A system will clip to our north on Monday. As it tracks off of the coast, it will throw back moisture into counties surrounding the Albemarle Sound, possibly into Northern Beaufort and Hyde counties as well. Moisture is very limited with this system right now. Temperatures will have a hard time dropping to the freezing mark at the surface, though temperatures not too far above the surface will be cold enough to support flurries. IF we get the moisture that models are showing, flurries are a possibility early Tuesday morning. With the lack of freezing temperatures at the surface on Tuesday morning, the ground is not cold enough to support accumulation. Wet roads on Tuesday morning are the best bet with this system.
