Hi all. I received this to be posted to derbylife. The editor is out of country for a bit so I let her know that Id share with my AZ peeps in hopes of getting her some responses. Please help a derby out. My name is Payal Doctor and I am in Gothams Rec league. I am writing a paper on the application of collective intentionality in sport. Essentially, this means that I am comparing philosophical theories of group actions and intentions on doing/achieving something together versus individual intentions to do/achieve something. As we know, in roller derby, everyone needs to work together as a team to implement strategy for offense and defense and, of course, winning. I am interested in your thoughts on how you work as part of a team versus as an individual.
