For my Grade 12 English class, students are developing a thesis based on a film directed by a person of colour who is creating films in English. Here is a list of the movies they can use. I compiled the list and am slowly watching them all. This is obviously not a complete list, but its a good start. SELECTED FILMS BY DIRECTORS OF COLOUR This is a list of films by Directors who are racialized and are producing films in English. The brackets identifies their heritage, if known. African Heritage is used for people who, because of the slave trade, do not know their specific geographic ancestral African roots.
