Hi all, Id like to draw your attention to the community arts project below in the hope that some of you would like to get involved by sharing your stories and taking part in some of the workshops that are taking place in Lytham and St. Annes. As you may know, St. Annes swimming pool has recently undergone a £625K refubishment and Fylde Borough Council have secured a further £12K to work with two two landscape artists to design a piece of public art and new signage through the town that will help promote the pool and generate a new focus on the area surrounding the pool. This phase of the project is called REACH and you can read more about it and the commissioned artists leading the project, Sophy King and Sarah Jane Richards, here: reachartproject2014.wordpress/ In the meantime, they have put a call out on their Facebook page for people to share their memories and experiences of Lytham St. Annes and their aspirations for the town. You can post, writing, photos, artworks, film. Anything! They would love to hear from the community. You can start by Liking their Facebook page below and you never know, your submission or post could be the starting point for a piece of public art that the whole community can access and enjoy!
