Hi all! Its been a while since Ive updated you on my progress so here it comes: 1. My CA125 tumor marker came down again, from 47 to 30! It is finally in the normal range (0-35) for the first time since I was diagnosed. Technically, this is an ovary tumor marker, but it has always seemed to run hand in hand with my liver tumors and whether theyre increasing or decreasing in size. So this is very exciting to me! 2. I had scans done last week and the results are looking good!! Liver: No new lesions. One is decreasing dramatically in size, the rest are stable. Sternum: They didnt notice any lesions on the lymph nodes in this area. Spine: Tumor is stable (which means radiation worked!) Overall: In my doctors words, Everything looks stable or slightly improved so were going to stay the course. SO HAPPY! Im not out of the woods by any means, but Im getting there. I WILL beat this. 3. Getting even more excited for our HUGE Teal Zebra golf outing on Monday, Aug. 18th. Cant wait to see you if youve decided to join us for golfing and/or dinner. Ill be sure to post some pictures here and on Facebook after so stay tuned! 4. If you havent already, please consider walking with us (The Pink Zebras) in the Stomp Cancer Walk in West Chester in Friday, Sept. 26th. And spread the word! The more the merrier! Heres the link to register: https://endurancecui.active/event-reg/select-race?e=9062354&pse=9062954&tid=28741105&tname=BHH+Hope+Squad If you have any problems registering, just let me know! 5. Just some miscellaneous, fun, summer stuff: Chip, Becky, and I went to Florida to visit Mom and Tony a few weeks ago. Had a blast and got to watch Beck and Chip race Ferraris at a track in Disney. They both topped out at 109mph!!! What an adrenaline rush they had! I couldnt race because of the compression fracture that is still on my back...but mark my words, I will do this when Im better! And Ill beat 109mph too! :-) Also, this weekend Beck, Mom, and I will be heading to the beach for our tradition of celebrating our survivor anniversaries together (mine is 8/2 and Becks is today 8/12). Cant wait to get away for some sun, sea, and sand. Its always sooo relaxing. Also, one more thing...last week Bringing Hope Home asked me to speak to some college students who are representing BHH at their colleges. It was such an honor speak for them and have the students be inspired by me telling my story. As usual, BHH made me feel special, like I was family! Thank you as always for all that you do for Chip and me. We appreciate it more than you could ever know! Keep praying...its working! Love Jeni
