Hi all. Just checking in as its been a while since Ive posted on here. Ive got great news to report as well. Stay Alive is number 3 in the paperback charts this week, having moved up from number 8, which makes both me and the publishers very happy. Thanks to all of you whove bought the book, and I hope youve enjoyed it. Regarding the new book, Dark Heart, Im now 53,000 words into the second draft, and its coming along really well. Hopefully its all going to be finished by September for release in January. Thats also why I havent appeared much on here. Ive been flat out trying to get it done as I lost a couple of weeks with the burst appendix. Ive been on a real roll though, which happens when you get back into it. The plots fast moving and its great having Tina Boyd back in action. Im hoping to be two thirds done by the time I attend the Harrogate Crimewriters Festival the week after next. Harrogates always good fun, and Im going to be appearing on a panel at The Swan Hotel at 10 pm on Friday 18th July with distinguished fellow crimewriters Alex Barclay, Nick Stone and S J Parris discussing plot twists and whatever else comes up in conversation, so if you fancy turning up, you can order tickets at harrogateinternationalfestivals/crime. Also, on a technical note, for some reason Im unable to open the messages Im being sent on here and therefore havent been able to reply to them. Apologies for that.
