Hi all, My girlfriend and I have an awesome 3 bedroom in between Mills College and Fruitvale BART that we are looking for other roommates for - we are looking to create a conscious community family-feel. We have a super sweet dog, Leila, who is 5 years old, relaxed and well behaved. It would be great to find a playmate/companion for her to live with if you have a dog! I am an elementary school teacher at Bentley School, and A works with event planning and marketing for University of San Francisco. She is also an aspiring fiction writer. Recently, we got back from traveling through Southeast Asia for 4 months. We first lived in Prague for 6 weeks getting our English teaching certificate, then went to Bali, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. But now, were both ready to settle in the Bay Area! We both have many interests including nature and backpacking, hiking, yoga, art, meditation, entrepreneurship, dancing, and creative projects. We both enjoy gardening, especially vegetables and herbs to use in our cooking. I like to try lots of alternative cooking things like making kombucha, raw chocolate, sauerkraut, and recently interested in paleo recipes (and beer-making!). We cook more normal recipes as well, and lots of international dishes. In terms of shared living, we value cleanliness, especially in the kitchen. We are very mindful of how we affect other people, and are always willing to talk and come up with a solution for any problem that may arise. We also enjoy having small get-togethers, especially themed nights such as wine and cheese night where everyone brings a wine or cheese to sample, or tapas and sangria night, etc. Were really laid-back and are looking to live with people that are like-minded and interested in creating a sense of community whether it be a house dinner or just hanging out and having a good conversation.
