Hi all, Thanks to all of you who visited me out at Hara Arena - TopicsExpress

Hi all, Thanks to all of you who visited me out at Hara Arena today. The up side was that I met a number of people who come to DHBO! Its so nice to hear in person how much DHBO is liked. The down side is how many people today at Hara asked me who Roz Young was. I had the book I did that contains her articles out on display and explained to people who asked that I had published the book since she had died 10 years ago. For someone I thought was very popular, I was surprised how few remembered her. It was nice to meet people who had her as a teacher (!) or did remember her articles, but they were very few and far between. I sold seven copies, which means I have thirty-three left. They will be available at Hara tomorrow from 10 to 4. I also want to thank the two individuals (you know who you are!) who were kind enough to give me a personal donation for help in paying for the photos I had to have for the next book out in mid-April (with any luck). A few people suggested that I did something like Kick Starter to raise the $600+ I had to pay to get the photos, but on reflection I do not think it is fair to ask people to pay for something like this when there are so many other much more important and meaningful causes out there. It is more than enough that friends of DHBO come forward during the pledge drive I have for the non-profit in June - and have always raised enough to keep the original site online. And so, thanks to those of you who, like today, came forward and helped with donations toward this personal project. But I am not going to start a campaign to raise the rest of the money. DHBO will always be much more important than any book I write. The original site is used by so many kids for school work and this Facebook page has reached MANY more people than all of my 30+ books would ever hope to do. So make a small donation in June to DHBO if you can and, if you cannot, please know that I will do my upmost to keep both sites up as long as I can no matter what. Thanks to all of you who come here. You inspire me to continue to tell the story the best I can. Curt
