Hi all, This is the first time in over 20 years that I will be unable to represent DSDCTA at the USDF Convention in Lexington Kentucky. I have arranged for replacements to cover me on the committees I am on. DSDCTA will have excellent representation. My husband, Mario, is having surgery on Thursday, December 5. This is the opening day at the convention and even though Mario says I should go, I will not attend. Family first. This is Marios 5th hospital stay this year and we sincerely hope his last surgical procedure. On a lighter note See our web site with the latest info. Annual Meeting Weekend, Clinic and Awards on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Meeting Sunday Morning. Many of our members were volunteers, competitors and winners in outstanding competitions, including the Region 3 Championships at the International Horse Park in Conyers, GA., and the very first head to head National Championships held at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park, in Lexington. Most of our chapters had members riding in these shows. Ruthanne Gardner and Mary Jane Benson were selected as Region 3 volunteers of the Year among all the candidates. Fellow member Kimmie Taylor has decided not to run for Regional Director again. She is going to pursue her Bronze Medal. Kimmie was an excellent friend to our GMO during her 3 year term. We all wish her good riding and great scores. Our chapters have some great programs for 2014, please support their activities. Hope to see an overwhelming number of members at the Annual Awards in Destin, Florida Have a wonderful Holiday Season. Barbara
