Hi all ! Wendy & I decided to do the Can You challenge that Grace How gave us the other week. We trotted the figure 8 bareback and in hackamores. After reviewing our attempts we decided much more freestyle practice is required, and to remember to use the reins to correct only then back to casual rein, turn body in direction of travel, and steer the hind! I needed to do lots of corrections with my reins, and it was hard for me to put the reins back down , I also needed to steer the hind more ( sorry Susan Castel !) . We had fun and hope one day we can develop our savvy to do those great canter figure 8s that Jen Chiswell showed us the other week ! See the attached video for our Can You s ! :)
