Hi all Wet weather policy 1. We can’t call competition off until courts are UNPLAYABLE. 2. If courts are UNPLAYABLE at 12 noon doesn’t mean they won’t be PLAYABLE at 7.30pm ( the courts can dry within 1 ½ hours) 3. If courts are UNPLAYABLE at 6.30pm , We call competition off. 4. If courts are playable at 6.30 the Competition is on (However this doesn’t mean it won’t be called off between 6.30pm & 7.30pm if we get rain.) 5. All attempts to make the right decision on the nights play is taken into consideration, including using the Beau of Meteorology radar map and the amount of rain we have had already. 6. We do not have control of the weather. I hope this clarifies our wet weather policy better and help players understand how difficult our decision is to make, Hopefully this will stop unnecessary phone calls and abusive players when tennis is washed out. Unfortunately I can’t keep everyone happy but I will keep trying. Gary
