Hi all, We’ve put together a campaign action for the - TopicsExpress

Hi all, We’ve put together a campaign action for the punishing union section of the Lobbying Bill, which Mr Lansley has thoughtfully brought forward to Monday in the Lords at no notice, hoping nobody will notice. We’re asking people to write to Peers asap, asking them to attend, and particularly making the point that union members are worried about their privacy under the new proposals to open union lists up to more agencies. Would you please be able to help us publicise it? Any help on email newsletters and social media tomorrow in particular will be really useful and much appreciated! There’s the campaign action at: action.goingtowork.org.uk/lobbyingbillpart3 And a blog post with more background at: touchstoneblog.org.uk/2013/11/stop-the-lobbying-bills-union-membership-data-grabthe-lobbying-bill-pause-is-not-quite-what-it-seems We’ve also done a detailed briefing for Peers if you’d find that helpful to see. Drop Nigel a line if you would like it or have other questions on the Bill: [email protected] Cheers John ______________________________________ John Wood, Campaigns and New Media Officer, TUC e: [email protected] tel: 02074671269 t: @johninnit tuc.org.uk goingtowork.org.uk touchstoneblog.org.uk strongerunions.org
