Hi all here is the preliminary plan for our team for this wonderful event. the construction will take place Friday May 2 2014 at West Beach and the ribbon cutting ceremony will take place Sunday May 4 2014. in addition to building the playground there is a need for beach cleanup as well as landscaping for the flagpole flower bed. we have donations coming in to purchase perennials but we never turn any away. Let us know if you can coordinate any donations of soil, mulch or plantings. Extra funds will pay-forward to the next playground project. Volunteers are asked for their time on Friday May 2 anywhere between 10 and 5. Bring any yard tools you may have--rakes, brooms, work gloves. The City of Stamford will also be bringing equipment and garbage bags/pails for us to use but we ask that you bring whatever you can. We may need a banquet table or two if anyone is willing to lend theirs. We will be hosting a meet up on Monday April 28 at 7pm (location to follow) to coordinate any last minute details and answer any questions. Saturday May 3 may also present additional needs for volunteers but we wont know until the end of Friday May 2. See you Monday and see you next Friday!
