Hi all you WIT goers. Just a message to say that I had a fantastic time. I decided to join the crew in the kitchen and all I can say is that I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a very humble experience and all the people I met brought a smile to my face and the energy was very positive and the amount of love, compassion, diversity and understanding from people were immense and what I left with was ace memories and new experiences and more knowledge from people. I learned a lot in the kitchen, I have very little experience in catering but I left with an inspiration to cook with no meat. The food was delicious and the recipes were tantalising. I particularly enjoyed the sweet potato and mango soup. Definitely have a go at making that myself =) I am so happy to have given my time to help feed the women and children at the festival..very rewarding. Every person I met touched my soul. Thank you so much and to the crew for letting me join their awesome team...oh and I have never had so many people point out my accent before..did I really stand out? haha. Lovely to meet the South Africans, Scots, Irish and German women ;) I hope to return next year and thanks to everyone who made the festival happen...each and everyone of you were just awesome and awe-inspiring.
