Hi breeders- I need some help with a newborn puppy. Hes 48 hours old and had dropped 10% body weight. He nurses some but is becoming more lethargic. The other puppies much bigger than him, so we feed him first and by himself very often, but he doesnt nurse very hard. Were thinking its time to start supplementing. Is homemade better than store bought? Im going to go out now and buy some puppy milk since this little guy isnt doing well. We have a vet coming to the house to check on him tomorrow, but I know every hour counts at this point and want to do the best I can for the little guy. For reference he was born at 10.15 oz and is now 9.3. The others are all over a pound. He was the last one born. Any advice as to what I can do to help this little boy is much appreciated! Feel free to private message me if you prefer. Im willing to do anything I need to do, but looking for responses from experienced folks only. Please refrain from posting educated guesses :-) thanks in advance!
