Hi dear friends, sorry I havent written for a few days; I was waiting for the cancer doctors phone call so I could update you on my sweetie, but he didnt. So we called him today. Not terrible news, but a little disappointing. Deb has been off cancer treatments for a month or so and the docs hoped that her numbers would keep on their downward trend. They didnt skyrocket, but they did climb a little. Not what we wanted to hear, but trying to keep in front of us we will not be afraid of evil tidings; our heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. Psalm 112:7. We will have a couple of tests over the next few days and well see what they want to do. But as I always say (hope I dont say it to you too often) Im much more interested in what God is going to do. Im speaking at a retreat next weekend on the love of God, and I think Ive never been so overwhelmed by how much He loves us and is taking care of us. Kinda weird, eh? But thats what faith is all about. And if youre skeptical, then just check out the new pic Debbie posted on our page. Thats the tree that should have landed right in our living room, where Deb was last summer. But just before it got to us, God changed the direction of the tornado 90 degrees so it missed us! Im telling you folks, Gods got this thing; everything, and its just a matter of holding on to Him for what He will do! Kirby
