Hi everybody!! Sorry for sending this out so late this month and giving you a short notice. Here are the NCANG History events for July. There are changes to a Charlotte event next week due to a meeting by the NCANG Alumni Association! 1. History Night at the Charlotte Base will not happen in July. 2. NCANG Alumni Association meeting will occur this Monday, July 14th at 6 pm. Discussion will be held on the future Heritage Room in the HQ building and how the Association can help with the room. One of our military Architects is drafting plans for the Heritage Room that will be an outstanding room for showing and telling our history!! If you are interested in hearing about the room come to the meeting!! Well be in the history work room in Hangar 4 (old hangar). Walk up to the roll up door facing Hercules Blvd and enter the red door on the right. If we arent there, walk to the HQ building in the Heritage Room. 3. History Day at Stanly County 118th ASOS classroom on Wednesday July 16th starting at 10 am. If you cant get here until later thats okay, well work and write our stories until everyone leaves. Come to the Hercules Gate entrance and hit the phone number for the 118th on the call box. Drive straight to the last building on the left. 4. There is a weekly history event that happens every Thursday. We sort through old photos, negatives, slides and documents to fill in the stories of the people that have made our units great over the years! You can also bring your own photos, negatives and slides. Well scan them for our records and you can take your items home the same day.
