Hi everybody! and this is the article about purposes of learning English from our monitor, Mr. Duc Nguyen Minh. He wrote very well! Wonderful! Hi everyone! I would like to talk about my purpose of learning English. There are three purposes to learn English and I think these purposes are important. The First: English is an international language. The Second: I enjoy speaking English. The Third: I want to learn English for my job English is an international language. Everyone knows that English is an international language and many countries speak English. And it is used all over the world. It is native language for their communications. And I know, now on the earth, there are about one billion people use it as their native language and millions more speak English as an additional (second) language. So do you know how many countries speak English in the world? According to some newspapers on internet, there are about fifty three countries and some another areas speak English. In Asia: Indian, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore. In Europe: Ireland, Wales, Scotland and of course England. In America: Canada, Jamaica, USA, Pearto Rilo. In Africa: Liberia, South Africa, Zimbabwe. In Australia: New Zealand, Australia. And many areas speak English. Today all most people speak English when they meet foreigners and more people who speak English as a second language than people who speak English as a first language. Why do you know? There are many reasons why English has become so popular. One of them is that English has become the language of business. Another important reason is that popular American culture has quickly all over the world, because of American is a rich country and developed in technology. I think it is important to have a language that the people of the earth have in common. Our world has become very global and we need to communicate with one another. That is English. I enjoy speaking English. I remember when I was a student at a school, I started to learn English. But it was too difficult for me, I could not listen English clearly, I could not speak English exactly and I could not read or write English. But I still grow up to class because I was studying at Viet Nam, education of Viet Nam. When I was a student at a university, really I decade to learn English and I learned English at university about four years. But I still could not speak English, I usually studied English, grammar not practice talking. I studied grammar to pass the exams. And when I graduated from the university, I was zero with speaking English. English is language of international communications, business, tourism, education, science, computer technology, media and internet. And the sound of English is exciting when l listen to English. So I decide to learn speaking English. I want to learn English for my job. This is the most important purpose. Everyone knows that English is a common language in about fifty-three countries and some another areas. And English is native language in Euro, American, Australia, too. So when I can speak English well, I can meet foreigner, many customers to talk with them about my productions. When I can listen English well, I can speak English well, I can read English exactly, and understand it. I know everyday so much information on newspapers, internet, etc. And my knowledge is better and I believe in myself. My job is more and more is interesting. Thanks for listening!
