Hi everybody its Renato, hope everyone is having a great day. Just a little report from what I experienced last night, I went to the EISD board meeting last night. (OMG) I got there a little early and what can I say it was a board meeting. I was in and out of the meeting a few times because I had to go pick up the kids from different practices that they were having. One of the times when I got back, the school board was in a private meeting where no one was allowed to go in and they were discussing problems in the district. To me it looks like the new board members are putting there plan into motion trying to get rid of the people in the district that have helped make the most progress weve seen in many many years. I believe these new board members are already making severe changes to a district that was moving forward. One of my children has already come home to me and told me that his art teacher can no longer supply them with art supplies for their class. A few weeks ago during testing one of my children told me they were not allowed to go to the cafeteria and have lunch, instead they were fed cold sandwiches and a pack of expired carrots.( I am sure they consider that brain food) What I would like to know is when are the new board members going to put the children first like they said they would in their campaign promises! To me it seems like itll never happen they could not even agree to have a civil discussion after they came out of their closed meeting. Arguing on stage with each other till 1 oclock in the morning................ This is the kind of change that will take the Edgewood district backwards!!!!!! Very sad and disappointing!!!!!! Again this is just my personal opinion and my way of letting off a little steam I was happy with the direction that the Edgewood district was going..... Forward. Renato T. Elias
