Hi everyone- Ive been living in Tel Aviv for two years now, but am studying abroad in Denmark this summer and have been gone for most of this conflict. From abroad, I have been trying to push the pro-peace, anti-violence narrative as much as I can through Facebook posts and by talking to people out here who are unaware of how complicated the situation down there can really be, on both sides. A girl from my class (who has worked for the UN) has approached me, and asked if I will meet some of her Danish friends and give a short presentation on the conflict, from the Israeli pro-peace, anti-violence perspective. These people are all anti-Israel for the most part solely based on media, and she says they have never met anyone who lived in the region, and none of them are aware of certain pro-peace, anti-violence movements that exist within Israel, especially in conjunction with Palestinians (Such as Combatants for Peace, etc.). Staying sensitive to the fact that our soldiers are down there risking and losing their lives, and also staying sensitive to those Palestinians who have died in this conflict, I am asking that you share with me any articles, information, or organizations that might be helpful to mention in this presentation.
