Hi everyone- just wanted to write a note or two. The Charge Nurse just left- she was checking on me and as she was leaving I said just pray for me! And then she came to my bedside and we prayed! How nice! The first few hours after surgery were much different than my other knee surgery; I had severe pain in my right knee and a splitting headache when I came to. This time, different anesthesiologist and when I woke up, I had just a little pain and no headache! I was impressed!! Well... At about 3pm the nerve block on my left knee started wearing off apparently, and the pain in that knee AND the splitting headache were almost unbearable. The nurse got orders to combat the pain, and its been helping a lot. Headache is almost gone, knee is ok as long as you dont as much BREATHE on it!! Let me tell you- even moving it 1/4 inch is a killer!! Theyve got me on the CPM machine (continuous passive motion) so it doesnt stiffen up. Tomorrow and the following days/weeks please keep me in your thoughts and prayers, because getting up out of bed and walking in the halls (and then AFTER that, will most likely be very painful. Thank you for keeping me and my family and Allens family in your prayers. We are HEALED by the blood of Jesus! Thanks all!
