Hi everyone. A quick update of how I am going, what I am doing, - TopicsExpress

Hi everyone. A quick update of how I am going, what I am doing, and what is coming in the future. I have had a series of lung and airways infections, as always, with one of them touch and go, but I survived and got through them. One of my neighbours and friends died 2 weeks ago at the age of 54 from Hypertension and multiple strokes, so that does focus you on your own mortality, especially for me, as I have nearly died many, many times, as many of you know. I am trying to help my Registered Nurse, who was the only one I could find on the web, and who has been looking after me for 13 months now, and the Bulk Goods trading business she has set up. Tomorrow we start our first deal, and I am SO EXCITED! It means money for the setting up of the Charity that I started thinking about and working on 12 years ago, that I have put in about 20,000 hours on, and through lots of ill health episodes, but I am winning my battles! My son Rick and I are in big financial trouble, because we put all our money into this endeavour in the hope that something might happen, and it is finally. WOW! The owner of the place I am staying has agreed for me to pay no rent for up to 6 months now, and pay it later, to put the money towards the Charity set up, and my electricity has been cut off twice recently for some weeks including now, as I dont have the money to pay the bill. The owner here lets me run a series of power cords for over 50 metres to my room using his power, so that I can still keep doing the Charity set up, People realise how valuable this is to their fellow Filipinos, so many are helping already. Many hundreds of people have come forward to volunteer to help in the beginning, and later to work for the Charity, as they understand I am living on a pension. I only have a Disability Support Pension (DSP) part payment that I use to pay my RN, my many medicines and medical needs, food, electricity (when I can afford it), Internet, mobile, and other expenses, plus I help a number of my neighbours and friends. My son Rick and I helped pay for the Bulk Goods trading business to be set up to provide the money to be donated to the Charity on an ongoing basis. Soon a number of people helping me will start the setting up of the new larger Corporation and the Charity. It is like a far off dream that I hoped and prayed for, but thought I would never achieve. Too much to do, no money to do it with, and extremely poor health, but the strange thing is even in my darkest moments, I have managed to get there struggling, battling, but determined, and finally successful. Tomorrow I hope is a new dawn for me, and ultimately for millions of the poorest people I have ever seen in my life in any country. Come for a holiday, and you will see over a quarter of the population living in bamboo thatch houses with a coconut palm roof, bamboo or discarded wood frame, wood window frames with no glass, no electricity, no water, and no sanitation. These people need help, so lots of people, who love this place and the surprisingly joyous people, are here to help, including me. Was I meant to do this thing? I am sure so! When I get back to Australia, I will try to meet some of my many Internet friends, so we can be real life friends too. I also hope to be off my DSP, with that objective being something that my many Doctors both here and in Australia, my family, friends, and my RN have been working towards for many years. When I finally do achieve that, I will be sure to let you know. It will be a day to celebrate, not being a burden on the Taxpayers of Australia! There have enough plunderers of the wealth of Australia for far too long, and I dont want to be one of them! You can find out about the Ejeti Charity at ejeti.org.
