Hi everyone. Apologies that things have been rather quiet, A number of members went to the refugee symposium earlier this month and sent back great reports about it. We really urgently need a few more members to join a planning group so we can move forward with ideas. I am going to be away in regional areas for 6 weeks so unable to organise anything for May; we want to encourage members to join the Welcome centre dinners every second Thursday - I went for the first time last week and it was great to see all the Iranians there and to share their fantastic kebabs. Next dinner on Thursday 30th April - 7pm - take a plate to share and get to know the Iranians and think about taking a friend with you who perhaps thinks all asylum seekers are illegals...........they may be surprised when they meet such a great group of people!! And PLEASE share more ideas for what you would like to see happening in Sth Australia to change the conversations
