Hi everyone! Have you ever been interested in volunteering abroad? Or volunteering here in Toronto to help kids with cancer, or abused women, or unfortunate teens? Then you should join FIMRC (Foundation for International Medical Relief of children) Come to our General Meeting to learn about FIMRC!! First General Meeting: Date: September 15th, 2014 When: 3-4pm Or 4-5pm (chose one of 2 sessions) Where: Hart House, North Dining Room FIRMC is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of families in the developing world through the implementation of innovative and self-sustainable health improvement programs. Through its network of outpatient clinics and partnerships, FIMRC asserts a multidimensional strategy that includes clinical services, extensive community outreach efforts and health education programs. LOCAL VOLUNTEERING and AT U of T Establish local partnerships with children’s aid organizations and engage students in community service activities (Current Partners Include : Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario, The Teresa Group, Redwood and Eva’s Initiative’s) GLOBAL VOLUNTEERING •Actively influence the delivery of health care at FIMRC clinics by organizing global health volunteer trips for undergraduate and medical students, physicians and health care professionals who wish to serve •Collect funds to purchase medical supplies and finance FIMRC clinics in developing countries •Educate the University of Toronto community about global child health issues COME AND FIND OUT MORE us9.campaign-archive1/?u=60054b13c1480f573b0d99225&id=ac98128e61
