Hi everyone, I am looking for advice on a problem we have always - TopicsExpress

Hi everyone, I am looking for advice on a problem we have always had with one of our beagles and, to be honest, weve ran out of ideas. First, let me tell you about her. We have two beags, Alfie and Bella who will be 7 in November / January. Alfie is solid, healthy, neutered and has not had any health problems in the 3 years we have had them. Bella is a different story. She is not dressed, has a managed thyroid condition, she had a near fatal accident a few years back when she ate a box of staples and required emergency surgery (and made a remarkably quick recovery, the brave wee soul) aaand she has been diagnosed last year with a recurring serious back condition (which luckily is at bay for now). The problem we have is that Bella is prone to peeing in the kitchen every single night, sometimes more than once. At first we thought it was a training issue but, when we tried to teach her, she started trying to conceal it by licking it up afterwards. We then wondered if it was physical. I have heard that when dogs are near their season, they can be prone to weak bladders but, it seems to be all the time. Then we wondered if it could be linked to her thyroid? To be honest, we are at a loss, but mopping the kitchen floor every day is becoming tiresome and Im concerned in case we are missing something with her health. Sorry for the massive post but has anyone had a similar problem?
