Hi everyone!! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend, we missed you all! Both of the weddings went really well, and we really appreciate being able to rest when we got back Sunday - we needed it! Please keep Kiley in your continued prayers, she has had a killer migraine the past 2 days. I just wanted to fill everyone in on some exciting upcoming events!! This Thursday night, we will be finishing up part 3 of our series on service, May I Take Your Order?. We have 2 more service projects associated with this series, the first being our Helping Up Mission trip, taking place this Saturday. We will be meeting at Crossroads at 9:00 am, and will be driving in to take the tour and help serve lunch to the men there. We will also be doing our Childrens Music Clinic the following Saturday (August 16), instructing children in grades 3-8 in basic instrumental & music skills. Next week, we begin our exciting new series, Wisdom From The Sages. I am extremely excited about this one, as we have 3 godly, experienced couples coming in to share wisdom that God has blessed them with over the years, as they share what they would have wanted someone to share with them when they were your age. The three couples coming in to speak are Kevin & Joanne Thornton, Dennis & Karon Lawson, and Rusty & Sandy Valenstein. You dont want to miss this series! Finally, we are going to be holding another special Thursday night Amplify meeting in a few weeks! On Thursday, August 28, the Baltimore Ravens play their last preseason game before the NFL season kicks off. What a better way to celebrate it than a Special Edition Amplify Service! We will gather in the Fellowship Hall that night for worship at 7:30, and then we will enjoy the game and a pot luck (late) dinner together, beginning at 8:00. We are asking everyone to bring a dish to share. What an excellent evening! Sunday morning Bible study is continuing as well, although we will not have it this coming Sunday, as I am giving the message on Sunday, as Pastor Kevin is away on vacation.
