Hi everyone! I just wanted to give you a quick update on Melissa Consin Young. Your prayers and concerns for Melissa and her family have been the most amazing gifts. Melissa is actually no longer in the hospital. Shes home now with Jack and is resting in her own bed. After a lengthy meeting with her doctors earlier this week, they decided its time for her to receive end of life care with visiting nurses at her home. Shes overjoyed to be at home with Jack but is struggling with what he may see or hear. She has fought so hard over the past 6 years to protect Jack and keep her home life separate from her medical issues. Emotionally, this has been a roller coaster for her - at best. I cannot imagine how she is feeling right now but pray that she gets the time with Jack that she deserves. I dont think that this is something that anyone can fully prepare for, openly accept or find the right words for comfort. But I do know that our God is an amazing God - the ultimate Healer and Protector - and is the One that so beautifully created the strongest woman I know. I know Ive asked for a lot of prayers for Melissa this year but please keep them coming. Please pray for her, Jack and their family. This is a difficult time, a precious time and one that will forever leave a loving & lasting impression on all of our lives.
