Hi everyone! I know some of you are expecting to see me at Emerald City Comicon this year, and I am sorry to have to let you know that I will not be attending this Edition. I had a ton of fun last year, and recommend ECCC as an awesome con to anyone! My March and April schedule have been filling up with Guest appearances in Europe, which I am prioritizing in 2015 in order to visit family more often. I could have squeezed #ECCC in, but my plans to quietly attend the con and make it a leisure weekend changed a little bit. There was a misunderstanding, and I was accidentally announced as a Special Guest to the event a few days ago. I have not been approached by ECCC as a Guest, or to do any programming for the event, and would like to clarify that same as 2014, I simply purchased a table in the Artist Alley and had only planned to attend ECCC for fun, on my own dime, and to visit friends. Ive had a very pleasant and professional communication with ECCC since, and due to the proximity of the event, we were unable to come to a Guest appearance agreement to follow the announcement. ECCC has since retracted the announcement and updated their website to reflect me inability to attend, and I wanted to let you guys know that it was just a miscommunication. Since my business is centered around conventions, I dont want there to be any confusion as to the capacity of my attendance of an event. After considering my rather insane Spring schedule, I have decided to use the extra time to work at my office and to visit family, so Ill be skipping ECCC this time. I would love to come back to the con in the future. Here is a reminder that if you guys want to see me at an event, you have the power! You can recommend me as a Guest and tell the convention organizers why you want me to participate in programming. yayahan/booking I sincerely hope you all will have a great time at ECCC, and maybe for the chance to see you next year!
