Hi everyone. I need some advice please? Tintin (Maximillan) is driving us insane...Hes super energetic...and hes just not calming down at all! He is super vocal...begs for food all day (even though he already weighs 4 kilos.) With his very healthy weight, he still jumps on my back while Im working on my computer...today Im wearing a t-shirt which means I am currently bleeding. Ive tried catnip and catnip and valerian...I do play with him. He does have a routine. He is allowed to go outside (only in the back yard though)...he does play with the dogs - bullies them a lot :( He is forever on my kitchen counters...hes eaten bread through a pick n pay plastic bag and the breads own plastic. I cannot place any dishes in the sink, then he climbs into the sink and eats them clean. Even when Im cooking I have to do it with the spray bottle in one hand. I cant leave the kitchen for a second, or hell be in our food...We have a gas hob, so Im always afraid that he might burn himself as well. Hes even eaten some sunlight liquid foam and lost his breakfast on my carpet...Hes really been hectic on my curtains - spray bottle doesnt help anymore. Im desperate. I feel like Im going to lose it soon...This has been going on for 5 months now... Ive had cats before...and Ive never witnessed anything like this cat....This morning he jumped onto the glass sliding door tried to slide down with his nails scratching the glass....Honestly? At 10 months old? Is this really normal? Everyone suggests that I get him a friend...but I honestly cant afford vet bills for four animals - and Im terrified of getting another cat like him!! PLEASE any advice would be amazing... P.S. Ive tried rescue drops and a calming collar...which didnt make a difference? Im thinking about trying the Regal Cat Health Tonic as well - as it apparently has a calming effect.
