Hi everyone. I only found out about this substance by accident. I had been using Head & Shoulders shampoo for years as I had/have a very itchy scalp with flaky skin - also in and around my ears. H & S seemed to help initially but then I read an article about MI and alarm bells went off as part of the article described my symptoms exactly. I checked the label and yes there it was. I stopped using it immediately and swapped shampoo for a Body Shop natural product and Im not exaggerating to say the condition virtually cleared up within the week.I used to get huge red angy skin patches after shampooing with H & S and the scalp flaky skin returned within days...so of course I kept using it. Now my scalp and ears are still a bit dry but nowhere near as bad as when using H & S. To my horror I now see that Nivea is another offender! What do I use to cleanse my face with every day??......Nivea Lotion. I really must start to read labels :-/
