Hi everyone! I was last year in Erasmus in Lisbon and it was great. I’m really jealous of you that are going now. I want to advise people that are looking for an apartment now. Be careful because there are a lot of entreprises that take advantages of the Erasmus people. They know you are going to be here for one or two semesters and they do not mind to have bad reputation or to do bad things to you. Unfortunately, it happened to me, in this case with “ERAMUS PALACE”, the same as “PLACETOSTAY”, and in general everything related with ERASMUS LIFE LISBOA. Sincerely it is really good they give you the opportunity to live in their flats with 10-12 people. But Lisboa is full of renting flats and you can have this without need this enterprises that advantage of Erasmus people. My experience resumes that basically they didnt get us back our deposit, they didnt care about us when something was broken and the worst they have a contract with stupid terms such as, if the police comes to your apartment even if they didnt make you pay, you have to pay the landlord 50 euros for each person that lives there, without minding if you were at the party or not! (yes, its ridiculous but i have the contract if you don’t believe it). I recommend you to look for an apartment in the facebook groups and to go there to see them before deciding in which one to stay. Dont be afraid of being without a flat, because you will see that lisboa is full of empty flats. Be careful with this and enjoy everything that is coming!! good luck!!
