Hi everyone. Im a brand new face to this group. I am relatively new to cosplay, I created my first costume in 2006 and have made a handful of costumes on and off over the past few years. Last year was the first time I attended a convention in costume (Supanova, Mirkwood Elf), and then again this year (OzComicCon, Leela from Futurama). I am a MASSIVE fan of the Marvel comics universe, having grown up reading my dads collection of classic Avengers since I was 6, and am also a huge fan of the Warcraft universe (novels and games). My favourite movies of all time are The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I have been so inspired by all the talented cosplayers online and in the growing Perth community and am now attempting more complex costume projects, particularly experimentation with armor and prop making. My ultimate goal is to create a Samus Aran or Nova Terra cosplay, but have some other projects lined up that are a bit less ambitious while I am still learning. I think its so awesome that there is such a growing interest in Perth and I am looking forward to seeing what people share on here and seeing what I can learn from all you talented folks :-)
