Hi everyone. Im new to the group, new to the subject, and pretty raw at the moment. I was called to pick my husband from the police station for drunk driving . . . found out a week later in the local paper there was a female passenger along for the ride. Naturally, as Im a firm believer in karma, she was injured, requiring hip surgery. My husband, claimed she is just a friend, and I dont find her in the least bit physically attractive! Im sure everyone knows where this is going. This happened in June . . . he spent two months, doing the right thing, taking care of her needs . . . God only knows what that means, and with this guy . . . God only knows is not figurative. I caught him in 36 different lies in one day. He only admits things once hes completely cornered, and then, as most of you already know, its not his fault, usually mine, but on occasion he throws someone else under the bus. One lie after another, emotional blackmail, financial blackmail, continued betrayal . . . literally hasnt missed a beat . . . has recently added emotionally abusing his son (who is 19, admittedly) by not even wishing him a Merry Christmas. I made the mistake over Thanksgiving to put aside our issues and go to a local buffet, the three of us . . . two days later I was left with ten dollars in my pocket . . . pawning jewelry for gas money . . . and two weeks after that, he stated, Why do you keep bringing that woman up? I thought we had worked through that on Thanksgiving? He literally thinks if he does something on Thursday, its in the past by Friday night! Ironically, I have things thrown in my face from over thirty-years ago. It is bizarre, beyond comprehension. I offered him a chance to come clean by inviting his friend, over to my house to verify his ridiculous explanations. He proceeds to tell her, that I am stalking him . . . that he feels sorry for me, and obligated to me, and an array of bs which left me completely bewildered. After weeks of begging, pleading, threatening, whining . . . he leads this woman to believe it is me, not him, trying to stay in this marriage. Stirring the pot, triangulating . . . she had the nerve to contact me via fb, taking up his cause, the poor little victim of a treacherous wife! Boy was that ever an enlightening experience! Finding out what a man, one whom is supposedly your friend, will say behind your back to save his own butt. To make a long story short. After terrorizing me for two hours via computer on New Years Day, he suddenly goes silent, I catch him at the bar drinking away his unemployment benefits . . . sitting between two woman, who . . . appear to be late stage meth heads . . . one had no teeth! Once again . . . long story short, this man . . . thing, had the nerve to say to me via messaging, I had a chance to be with someone tonight, and you blew it for me! Naturally, thats not what he meant . . . problem is, I try to only communicate with him in writing . . . so all I have to do is scroll back, otherwise, hell say things and deny them 5 minutes later. Im sorry this is so drawn out, but its condensed . . . believe me. It was that statement, I had a chance to be with someone tonight, that made me realize this guy is off his rocker! Who says that? When theyre trying to convince you to stay in a relationship??? Not sure, and I guess it really doesnt matter, whether hes borderline, psycho/sociopath or a narcissist . . . point is hes a sick puppy, and I have nothing left to give. Ive been reading posts over the last few days . . . and my heart goes out to all of you, and I mean that. My husband has always been a self-important, annoying, know it all . . . I have a life of my own, so I ignored his nonsense, but it seems hes having a meltdown now . . . the mask has dropped . . . and his behavior is beyond ridiculous! The things Ive read here have made me feel stronger in my resolve, and I feel the support you give one another! Thank you Kelly for suggesting this group.
