Im sure you dont care very much about Stupid Politics and youre all very busy with midterms,however, please consider the following: As you may or may not know, as Full-time students you are a fee-paying member of the UofT Student Union. The UTSU is hosting their Annual General Meeting and voting to restructure to remove individual college representation in favor of a constituency based model. Some of you may have read the attached National Post Comment. This vote is taking place on October 29th from 6pm-9pm. If you would like to attend, you can just show up - alternatively you can also grab and return a Proxy From before THIS THURSDAY and get your friends to sign the form. You will then be able to carry 10 votes + your own vote. But please make sure the people signing your form understand what is going on. If you want more information about the meeting - including other agenda items (Supporting International Students, Supporting a Drop Fees Assembly for example) please see the Facebook event in the comments section. I very much encourage you to attend - as the UTSU, we take your money on ROSI, so you should have the final say in everything we do! Disclaimer: I am a VP of the UTSU and am very much against this plan put forward by the previous UTSU Board of Directors. I believe voting in favor of this By-Law change to remove direct college/Faculty representation on the Board of Directors will harm our student voice on campus. Many colleges student associations have also come to this conclusion and posted their opinion publicly.
