Hi everyone!! It has been a long time since I posted anything. I am glad I took a look tonight, everyone seems to be doing well and the babies are sooooooo cute! Anyway, wanted to share a little of my world with anyone who cares to read it. About 2 months ago, a cat (who I swear to God was a male cat!!) gave birth to five kittens. They were born and stayed with Sherry and David down the street (in their wood pile?) Sherry and David watched them, fed them and gave them shelter until about one month ago at which time mommy took them to another persons home, Debbie Phillips, a teacher with a huge heart took them in. She wanted to bring them inside, but she has two older cats who are dealing with some health problems and she knew it would stress them out to have kittens and their momma in the house. Anyway, she has been feeding them and watching out for them. Our neighbor Jordan built a doghouse (small but sturdy and warm) and he wasnt using it so he offered it to Debbie for the kittens and momma. Loyd (my sweet husband) and Angelo (Jordans brother) carried the doghouse to her porch. We set it up, put some sweaters and a blanket in it, turned the opening toward her house and as we left, momma socks was rubbing on it, laying her scent and claiming her new home. This is an experience I needed to have! All the people who contributed helped me remember a group accomplishes more than one. Kind, caring and loving people are within our reach - we just have to put our hand out (if you know me then you know I have a hard time asking for help). I love all of my FB friends and boy do I love Debbie, Jordan, Angelo, Loyd, Sherry and David; and I love Socks and her babies. Debbie found a home for two of them. There are 3 left - I am going to try a gets pics to post soon. I am so proud of my neighborhood. Hey Andi! The neighbors are going to pay for Socks to be spayed (is that spelled right?). So tell the docs theyll be seeing Ms. Socks soon. Everyone take care! The Holidays are approaching fast! Yikes!
