Hi everyone, Its councillor Morrison here. I will be making an official announcement later today, but thought I should let you, my friends, know this news first. I am leaving the ALP to join the Palmer United Party. Ive met Mr Palmer on a few occasions now while working at Parliament House. He strikes me as a really decent, sensible and down to earth man. He has real vision for Australia and the drive to back it up. I sincerely believe that he is our future. Furthermore the PU Party has offered me the seat of Waringah if I join. While I am not a big fan of the Northshore or the Northern beaches (and I hate Manly), I simply cannot refuse an offer of this magnitude. The promise of a fully funded two year campaign with unlimited resources (plus my own yacht) makes Waringah an offer that is too good to pass up. I hope you all understand. gm
