Hi everyone. Ive got some big news for us all! Ive been in constant contact with a number of Universities around the UK and an upcoming company called SnowSpire. Together, we are hoping to bring large scale esport events to Cardiff and well be starting in the new academic year. Our plan is to hold a two day event at the Cardiff City stadium over the weekend of 25/26 October and hold tournaments on both days. The Saturday is going to be dedicated to university play. This means well be holding Varsity style competitions between each of the 6 (so far) universities with the winning teams getting prizes ranging from cash to products. Day two will be open to the general public and be run with a less rigid timetable. The plan here is it run it much like an Insomnia event where people can bring their own rigs to have fun and play together. We will also support people who do not wish to bring their own stuff as we have many usable consoles. If you with to participate in day 1 (the inter university completion), we are taking all applicants as of now.
