Hi everyone Just thought best catch up with Efcort story. It looks like there will be a shortage of the 100mg vials for quite some time. As mentioned in previous posts I much prefer the Solu-Cort preparation as the excipients in the Efcort can cause local allergic reactions. Yes it is an extra step to do the water to the Solu-Cort powder but this dos not take long to do merely an extra minute. What you need to do is to add the water drawn up from the vial. You only need to draw up 1ml not the 2 ml provided. This means that you only give a smaller volume on injection. When you do this 1 ml contains 100 mg so that if you want to give 25mg that means you need 0.25 mls, if you need 50 mg then you need 0.5 mls and of course for the full 100mg then you need 1 ml.
