Hi everyone, Ms. Kuta and I found out today that some students were not given the first newsletter in their English classes - it was human error and the teachers feel bad and they have promised that they will be more diligent. In their defense we had a English vacancy at the start of the new year and they were scrambling to do plans for that class and their classes, etc... In light of this new information, we have rescheduled the PowderPuff game to November 20th with a practice on November 17th. We are ordering jerseys for the players - I got the proof today and they are cute! Im going to post them below. The cost to students is our cost, $15.50. Now that weve moved the date back students can still order one for the game! Tell your senior or junior to pick up an application (which includes order form) from me, Ms. Kuta, or the main office. If you could also convince your sons to sign up to be a cheerleader that would be AWESOME -- thats half the fun -- seeing the boys dressed up and cheering! As Mrs. Zellers mentioned, we also extended the deadline for officer apps to Monday, September 13th. Sherri Zellers -- I dont even think we have a class website or can make one on the new county-wide BCPSOne. I can make one for my students in my class but not other students. There are many things that need to be tweaked in terms of what we can do via BCPSOne. Its very frustrating for me to not have a website to post things in a variety of formats. Right now, we are using Edmodo which also has its limitations. The code to join is ytfpdt. Edmodo locks codes after two weeks and the code above was generated today, so you should be able to use it. Needless to say, well have to change signs around the school to update to the new code. We miss Edline! I see an option here to attach a file but have the most current copy of said newsletter on my work drive. Tomorrow I will attach it. I plan to send out another newsletter in a couple weeks -- We have a big day coming up in October -- October 15th the students will be able to speak with reps and obtain ordering materials for announcements, caps and gowns, and other senior goodies. We will also be selling senior t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatpants at this time -- Once I get the proof from the artist I will post it and create an order form. I think Ive written a book here. I will post the newsletter tomorrow. If you join Edmodo the Powderpuff and Officer Apps are already posted for download.
