Hi everyone. SO I called in Apple today, spoke with the highest ranking person available, and this is what I was told: YES they recognize that this is a MAJOR problem. YES they admit that a recall or R.E.P. program is the best solution and most likely solution for wide-spread Apple hardware issues. HOWEVER.... and this is the most important part of our hour-long conversation.... Not enough people have contacted Apple about this problem. There are threads and groups online with thousands and thousands of people reporting their problems. But no one is reporting this problem to APPLE. They need to receive thousands of complaints regarding this issue. ALSO there is an advantage in calling them as oppose to e-mailing, as you get your Docket Reference Number that formally takes record of your own individual problem and fuels our rally to get Apple to recall these laptops. I hope that everyone takes TODAY seriously and are still calling and writing. Best of luck to everyone!
