Hi everyone, Thanks for your patience while we sort out Mother - TopicsExpress

Hi everyone, Thanks for your patience while we sort out Mother Nature’s latest attempt to test us. The lay of the land (or the field) is as follows: • We have 16 matches still unplayed. o 4 of which are “must play” in order to determine finals contenders in AM/6, AW/4, AM/12 and AM/P/1. o Of the remaining 12 matches 4 belong to U16G 1 & 2 as Semi Finals. These semi-finals, while it is preferable that they are played can be changed to a 1 v 2 finals format if time and the weather doesn’t work with us. If the weather dictates so, this competition will revert to a 1 v 2 final. o The remaining 8matches belong to, AW/6, U18/2, AW/1 who need the matches to declare their tables for 2014, but not to determine finals and 5 matches belong to Prem 1 & Res competition - they don’t impact on 1 v 2 final or determining who wins the competition, but are required in order to declare tables. It has been decided to put the finals back by one week to Sat 30th & Sun 31st August. This has been decided for two reasons. Primarily, when considering the state of Jamison Park after this weekend’s rain and the forecast rain for this coming week, it is most unlikely (based on how the fields have performed in the past) that the fields will recover in time for this weekend. The other reason, equally as important is to give the best possible chance to the above 16 matches to be played and completed and the results to form part of the 2014 season record. Fixtures for these outstanding matches will be scheduled and will be given an alternative date should the first date be washed out. The rescheduled fixtures are offered on a play or forfeit basis only. In the event that all alternative dates are exhausted, the remaining Prem fixtures will be given a 0-0 score and the Finals for the remaining age groups will be played based on the current standings. We recognise that should this last alternative be executed, there will be teams who are disappointed. Your have our sympathies in advance, but we must conclude our season and we need to do so considering the majority of our members as favourably as possible. The first draw and alternatives will be issued shortly to clubs and on the competitions link on our webpage. The Under 11 friendly fixtures that currently exist will be moved to the following week too Thanks again for your patience and understanding, and an extra big thanks to the three “driest” clubs in our district (Emu Plains, Richmond & Penrith Rovers) who will be helping us out with hosting the extra fixtures.
