Hi everyone :) This is Jasmin, and se is 13 years old.... :) Tragically both of Jasmins parents are no longer with us. Sadly her mother passed first, after contracting TB tuberculosis, shortly after her father then passed of an unknown illness... The circumstances of both parents passing points toward HIV, as the immune system of both must have been compromised for this to have happened, but we cant be certain if that was the case or not now. This has left Jasmin to be cared for by a family friend, and unfortunately the two are now struggling quite a lot.... Her guardian is not working, and took Jasmin in as she would have been living on the streets if not... They are managing for food just, by the help of neighbors, and also her guardian can work at harvest times for a little... This allows them to eat flour and water, most days and some days with beans also. Jasmin is at a very vulnerable point in her life now.... With no foundation for the basics, and no money for schools fees, she will soon be forced to start laboring to support herself... No one wants to see this happen, least of all Jasmin who dreams of becoming a head teacher when she is older! :) To keep Jasmin in school, and away from child labor does not require much... If some one can share as little as £2.60/ $3.50 a week, it will do just that! :) Less than a glass of wine a week in the west, to provide a child with an education, adequate nutrition, clothing and medical care.......
